I've been so bad at blogging for the past few months....it's kind of been put on the back burner. Anyways, school has started for another year. The kids are loving their classes and all that they're learning. Scoutty really hasn't missed the kids at all. She loves having free reign on the house. Tates has a big run coming up tomorrow. All the city schools participate in this run so it's pretty crazy. Last year she walked most of it, choosing to just visit with her friends along the way. This year, she has found her competitive edge and she wants to be in the top 20 for all of the grade 5'ers. They are running 3km and she has been practicing everyday, going on runs around the neighborhood and we've even gone over to the actual run place and she's ran that a few times too. She was pretty bummed out this morning when she woke up sick with a fever and head cold. Hopefully she'll feel okay to run it tomorrow.
Keegs has been on a big kick of making paper airplanes. I swear we have a future engineer in him. He loves building and figuring out how things work and of course, designing new awesome inventions. He's pretty funny.
Scoutty is getting so grown up. She is talking pretty good now. She was a bit of a late bloomer on that front. The other day, Daddy picked her up to give her a hug and he went to kiss her cheek, but at the last second, she turned her head and he ended up giving her a smoochie on the lips. He said, "Hello"...and Scoutty looked at him and said, "HI".....it was pretty funny. She also hates getting her hair done everyday but if you look at the pic, you'll know why. Can you imagine sitting through someone combing THAT out???? We call her hair, "THE BEAST".....
