So, great news, we finally bought a house. We've only been renting for a little over 3 months but that was long enough. I feel like the "builder's beige" in this rental is starting to make me go crazy. Oh well, we take possession of our new place on June 1st. We have been dilligently looking for a house in our area and in our ward but nothing has come up in three months. We finally thought, Okay, lets just see what else is out there, even if we have to change wards or schools. So we looked on the computer only for a day and found this house, went and looked at it, fell in love with it, put in an offer the next day and the seller of this home didn't even counter our offer. We fully expected her too since people ALWAYS counter back but she didn't, so we were extra lucky. I was laughing about it to Ryan. This exact same thing happened when we bought our last house. We looked and looked for months in Airdrie and even put in offers on houses and didn't get anything and we couldn't find anything decent. Then one morning, I woke up and said, "Hey Ry, what about Strathmore".........we bought a wonderful house out there by 2:00 that day. There is definitely a guiding hand that knows what is best for us even if we dont! We experienced that twice now!
I'm excited since to move into our new home, new ward and for the kids to go to their new school. They were really positive when we told them that they would have to switch schools again. Keegan was super pumped that his new school is all English.....he is in a French Immersion school right now....english speaking but he gets really annoyed at all the announcements being done in French and he gets confused on which lady teachers he has to call Mrs......so and so or Madame so and so.......he's really excited for an all English school.
I think the best thing about our new home is the fact that the deck, yard and fence are all done. We've had new houses for the past few and have had to do that all ourselves. This home, we can move right in and the kids have a fenced yard to play in and we have a nice deck to relax on. Also, sounds kind of weird, but the basement in this house is phenomenal. There is room for 3 bedrooms, a storage/furnace room, a bathroom and a good size family room. So, anyone wanting to come visit, we will have a spare bedroom just for you, it'll be downstairs with our two oldest monkeys, but still, your own room!! Now that I've put that out there, I'm afraid we'll have company all the time....uh oh!!! Just kidding, we love having people come stay.
So today, we start the whole moving process again. The house that we are renting right now is being shown next week...someone is interested in buying it, so I have to pack up a bunch of our stuff and make it somewhat presentable. At least with this move, I only have to pack up half of our stuff, since the other half is still in boxes. Oh well, like everyone says.....I move so much, I'm a pro by now!!

I hope keegan likes his new school.
I am excited to see how it looks once you get settled. I bet the dog was THEE reason you bought the house...haven't you always wanted a dog? ;)
congrats!
Congrats! Can't wait to see it. Let us know if you need help with anything.
