It's Mallow Time!!

Yesterday we bought a fire pit thingy for our backyard. I think Ryan was a little skeptical about how useful or fun it would be but we got it anyways. I was so excited since we always had these growing up. They were much more elaborate but same idea. When I was little, I remember having one of these in the backest part of our massive yard and our neighbors would come over all the time to roast marshmallows and just hang out. All of us kids would play anti-I-over on the shed, then take a quick marshmallow break and then get right back at it. I dont have any specific memories or great stories about this, but the memory of doing this with my family warms my heart. I was hoping that having a fire pit in our backyard would do the same. So, before we could get at the roasting, we needed to mow our front lawn...it grows so fast because our neighbor puts his "special fertilizer" on it. Anyways, we hadn't used our mower yet this year so we tried to start it up but it wouldn't stay running. After several attempts, our neighbors came out along with their son that lives with them and Bruce and Scott ended up fixing the mower while Ryan mowed the lawn with their mower. We told them that we were going to roast hot dogs and marshmallows and to please come over if they didn't have plans......so they did! What a great time visiting and eating! We absolutely love our neighbors! And now we love our fire pit. We had the best time....the kids loved it....and Scoutty couldn`t get enough marshmallows into her mouth. She was so funny. She stuffed in two big marshmallows and then wanted a drink from Tatum so Tates told her to say please and when she did, marshmallow erupted everywhere! What a great time. Next time, I`ll take pictures!
