I've been gone from my usual blogging habits for a while. Life just gets busy and I forget to write about it. So, if you read the last post, you know that we had a mouse in our vehicle. Yuck! It's getting old enough and enough km's on it that it was starting to cost us money every month it seemed, to fix it. We have talked about getting a new car but the mouse was the last straw. So, meet Bo......yes, it's a boy car and Tatum thought it would be good for us to name it this.....get it? A "bow flex".....haha. So, yes, Bo is a part of our family now.
Yesterday, we finally got our gazebo up and it has been wonderful enjoying the great outdoors....alright, the great outdoors at my house, up on a deck with no wildlife around. That's about as good as I can do....or handle when it comes to nature.
We had a busy sunday today. I subbed for primary, with Scoutt for part of the time and then my wonderful friends relieved me of her for the last half hour. We met a new family at church and had them over for dinner. They were down from Edmonton and checking houses out etc. and had three kids with them and only McDonald's on the horizon so they came over and ate. It was great. Always fun to meet new people and visit.
Tatum has had a student teacher in her class for the last few months. He's been a great teacher and the day that he left, he gave everyone a certificate for something that they were great at. Some kids got funny things but Tatum got the "Leader by Example" certificate. Needless to say, we are pretty proud of her. She is such a leader and great example at school and at home.
Ryan and Tatum did the Amazing Race last week here in Red Deer. The public library put it on and they got to do lots of fun crazy things. They came in third and got lots of prizes,......pencils, books, candy etc. Tatum had a great time and is looking forward to it in the fall.
Well, that's about it for the past few weeks. Hopefully I'll get back to regular blogging but we'll see.....
P.S.....for your gee whiz files.....the trap that caught the mouse was one of those old school wooden traps with a piece of cheese on it........it must have been an OLD mouse
