Don't we all love Heroes??

Last night Keegan and I went to the Rebels homegame!!! It was super exciting because they were playing the Kamploops Blazers. Why is that exciting, you may ask? Well, it's because Tyler Hansen plays for the Blazers! He's from my hometown. We had awesome seats...just four rows back from the Blazers! We cheered, ate lots of deliciously unhealthy food, and visited with Tyler's family in the intermissions! What a great time! After the game was over, Kamloops won, Keegan and I went down to where the players leave the ice to go to the dressing rooms. We were cheering for them and of course were cheering super loud when Tyler went past. One of the players gave Keegan the game winning puck! He was sooooo pumped about that! Tyler's mom gave Keegan a pack of team cards for the Blazers and Tyler's dad give him picture with his stats on it. We were then invited to go down to the dressing room area with them to see Tyler, Keegan was dying to meet him....so we went. We had to hang around for a while but when Tyler came out, wow, someone was starstruck and no, it wasn't me. Keegan was so excited to meet a "real" hockey player. Tyler was so kind to him and signed everything that Keegs had! Tylers mom was telling me how much he hates this part of playing hockey because he's just a regular guy and doesn't understand why kids think he's something special. I told her that he needs to get over that because I"m so glad that my son has an awesome hero to look up too! Keegan talked about Tyler all the way home and announced that he was indeed, his new favorite player of all time!! He is planning on framing his stat sheet for his bedroom and is seriously contemplating cheering for Kamploops over the Rebels.....hmm, we'll see how that goes over with Daddy....

Tyler is in my Sunday School class here in Kamloops! He is a great young man for sure!
