Do you find that sometimes life is just hard? It's still really good, just hard. That has been our life as of late here at the Sharpe household. Nothing too major is happening, just lots of little crummy things that add up to a whole lot of stress. Even though the stress isn't gone, today I am grateful for a few things:
1. My sister, as of today, has started a new medication for her insanity. I'm sure it will work really well too. The name of the medicine is A MUCH BIGGER HOUSE! I am beyond excited for her and her family to have space to move in!
2. I am grateful for GRAVOL. Scoutty has been up screaming for hours every night for the past few weeks and last night, I gave her some gravol and she slept through the night. Needless to say, I am feeling much better this morning, having slept!
3. A few weeks ago, Tates brought a little friend to Activity days with her. On the way home, her friend was asking who we pray too and we explained that we have a Heavenly Father that loves us and watches over us. She was amazed to think that there was a whole other person out there that loves her. I was sad for her but grateful for the gospel and my upbrining that taught me that I do have a Heavenly Father that loves me.
4. I am grateful for friends, especially this past month. I've been such a drag to be around and yet they all still keep loving me and checking up on me. They are a real blessing in my life.
5. I am grateful for sugary treats. I am an emotional eater and thank heavens I have the metabolism to support it. I am grateful for all the cookies, chocolate bars, candy etc. that I have consumed this past month. When life gets tough, a banana just doesn't cut it.
Well, that's about it for today. I really try to see the silver lining in everything and it's been pretty hard the past month but I'm still trying. Now, off to make some double chocolate chip cookies! Weight Watchers, I might be paying you a visit soon!
