Father`s Day

Happy Father`s day to my dad, Ryan`s dad, my grandpa, Ryan`s grandpa and Ryan..........whew, I think I got everyone.....well, and all the other dads out there that I love! We were asked to give talks in church today and I`m so glad that it`s all done. They went well and it was actually really good because everyone came and talked to us after about our talks and we got to meet a lot of people in our ward. The kids sat with Troy and Michelle in church and I think they got a glimpse of what 4 kids is like.......yikes!! Thanks so much though, guys!!!

Since we`ve moved into this house, we`ve bought quite of bit of things that we wanted for the deck, yard etc. to enjoy the house more.....ie. a bbq etc. so when it came to getting something for Ryan for fathers day....I was fresh out of ideas. We ended up getting him games that we all love and can enjoy together.....skipbo, phase 10, rook, mille bornes, and things in a box. So, just to warn everyone, if you stop by for a visit, you might get rangled into playing one of these with us!

I made dinner for Ryan, steak, potatoes, corn on the cob, garlic bread, and pie. Let me just preface this with.....I HATE COOKING and I`m really not that great at it.....I can knock a few meals out of the ballpark and that`s usually what I make when anyone is visiting......but today, whew, I had some issues with dinner. The steak was well done and by well done, I mean, black. And the picture speaks for how the garlic bread turned out........Ryan was so awesome though and consoled me with the obligitory, This is great Missy, you can hardly taste the burnt parts......

Whatever. He knows I love him and he gives me an A for my effort. He gets an A though for the kind of father that he is. He has far surpassed my expectations on the kind of father I thought he would be and my expectations were pretty high. All I have to say is that my kids are pretty darn lucky to have a great dad..........
